Time For Formula 1 TV To Go Digital

Watching the helmet cam in widescreen from the Gold Cost Indy 300 today was awesome, and brought home that the broadcast was entirely in widescreen, and much better quality than F1.
The Formula 1 official feed is looking decidedly long in the tooth, in its low-res 4:3 format; perhaps it’s time for F1 to go Digital.

Children of Men

A really good movie. Powerful, even. Excellent performances all round, especially Clive Owen and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
In short: it’s the near future. No children have been born for 18 years, worldwide. The world has fallen into ruin, except proud, fascist Britain, which is maintaining a stiff upper lip and rounding up all illegal immigrants - ‘Fugees - [...]

Armed Assault: Finally, It’s Sort Of Nearly Here, Mostly.

BIStudio look like they’re in Publisher Limbo with Armed Assault, but the release dates are trickling out. Through a forum thread. Tres professional.
Getting the word out to the community is all well and good, but perhaps it’d be worth getting someone to actually get release information onto their website.

Armadillo Run

Take one physics engine. Provide some basic materials - cloth, metal bars, rope, elastic, rubber and metal sheeting, and some rockets. Slap a minimal but functional 3D user interface on it.
Then add a yellow bowling ball called “Armadillo” and an exit spot where the Armadillo must come to rest, and pow! You’ve got a game!
