Just Cause Demo on Xbox 360 – Wow!

I wasn’t even going to download the demo, because I’d mentally associated it with the grimy Just Cause. I’m glad I got past that, because it’s a fast-moving, fun game so far.
Think GTA, only faster paced, action-focused and with a secret agent that makes James Bond look like a stiff-upper-lipped pussy.
GamesWarehouse has it pegged for September 29. [...]

Feeling A Bit Ripped Off

I saw Xtreme Rally and GTI Racing - new releases on Steam – for $US30. Read some good reviews, so I bought them.

Still no MTP firmware, oh, the joy, so most of my complaints probably still stand. Did I mention I wasn’t a fan of their website?
But if you’re actually using this good-looking-but-crippled hunk’o’crap, the latest firmware is available here.
Teh Web also has copies of Iriver Plus3 kicking around, which is rumoured to do video encoding. I say rumoured [...]

My Media Centre’s Started Skipping Backwards!

The other day, I dropped in an Athlon X2 4200+, taking the opportunity to upgrade my socket 939 board before the opportunity is lost forever.
At about the same time, though, my MCE started losing time when skipping. I barely noticed it at first, or just ignored it, but it’s a pervasive and annoying problem.
The first [...]
